AFFIRMATIVE:


Subject    +     VERB    +    complement.


I                DRIVE         a car.

NEGATIVE:


Subject  +  DO/DOES + NOT + VERB (base form) + complement.


I              DON'T        DRIVE              a car.

You            DON'T        FLY                kites.
We             DON'T        WATCH              TV.
They           DON'T        EAT                pizza.

He             DOESN'T      WASH               the dishes.

She            DOESN'T      STUDY              English.
It             DOESN'T      SLEEP              on the rug.

THIRD PERSON SINGULAR -S RULES:


1. Add -S.

2. Verbs ending in -ch, -sh, -s, -x, -o, -z: Add -ES.

He teaches

3. Verbs ending in CONSONANT + -Y: Change -Y to -IES.

He studies  (study)
She cries   (cry)
It flies    (fly)
